Thingworx® ThingBuilder v.2 – Application UI & UX

ThingWorx® ThingBuilder allow Developers to rapidly design and deliver high quality, scalable applications using drag and drop tools for the creation of rich interactive applications, dashboards, collaborative workspaces, and mobile interfaces without the need for coding. While employed at Bravas, i worked on many ThingWorx initiatives. We first help design and launch the v.1 ThingBuilder app (also included in my portfolio) and then worked closely with the ThingWorx teams to design the actual application software itself. We created all of the GUI, components and iconography and also helped develop the complex user interaction design that sets this web app apart. Slick drag and drop features and contextual visual queues really help make what may be perceived as a complex and complicated app, easy and fun to use. The goal was that anyone could use this tool to develop IoT applications - without even knowing a single thing about code. A challenge that we gladly accepted and succeeded to deliver! Activities: We used rapid prototyping, sketching and quick, iterative deployments to learn and fail quickly and release iterative phases to our hungry to test developers.
